Daily Blog #4 - The Trap
In our day to day lives, it's not uncommon that (often not even self aware of this behavior) we'll let the behavior of others have a negative impact on our outlook of the day, week, month, etc.
This, my friends, is a trap.
One that I've fallen in to many times. And still do.
When we're expecting a good day and the barista that you see every morning for your cup of Joe gives you an attitude and that ruins the course of the day, we need to have a serious discussion on what we're reliant on when it comes to our well being. This is true for our managers, employees, family members and our friends.
The dialogue becomes different when we recognize that often times the problems people give us our really problems of their own, not so much yours.
So my question to you today is this - how can you fill your own cup a bit more today? How can you hold people accountable for their behaviors (if needed) and still not let a negative interaction ruin the course of your day?
